Carla....I know what you mean about not wanting to eat. I don't feel like eating when it is so hot either. I have to make myself get my protein in.....sometimes it is just protein drinks which I don't like to do too often.

The wedding is getting closer.....how fun!

Carla,
Take me with you.  I love Frankenmuth, and my Munchkins only live about an hour or so away from there.

I hope to get to Michigan in the Fall to see them again.

Hugs,
Trish

Hello all

I just finished an 8 mile walk, and I'm really tired.  My son wanted to go on a long walk with me, so it was an enjoyable time.  After 4 miles out, he left me, and ran back home; it was a good way for me to get a long walk, and for him to get some running.  You'll soon get to know that I always push myself, and therefore the 8 miles.  I came home and had some Special K protien water and some Citrical soft chewies calcium.

I was disappointed in the Citrical soft chewies - after I read the label more closely, they are all sugar and tricalcium phosphate. The sugar is ok after exercise when my blood sugar is really low, but I won't be able to use them after surgery because of all the sugar.  Also tricalcium phosphate isn't as well absorbed as calcium citrate.  So I'm trying to use them up in the next two weeks.

Otherwise, I'm keeping relatively cool inside where we have AC - even though it is set to 80, it sure feels nice when coming in from the outside.

Have a great weekend.

Eliza.....I use Bariatric Advantage Chewy Bites and just love them. I haven't had bad levels in the 4 years since surgery.
I like the Chocolate and the Caramel....they also have lemon and strawberry. They are sugar free ....that is a bonus!!

Morning everyone!

Just a quick fly by!  I'm trying to get out the door and start the long drive home.  Got a very late start this morning because I was sick last night.  I don't know WHAT hit me, but it wasn't very pleasant.  Think I might have even run just a bit of fever, too.

However the good news is that I lost 2 pounds between yesterday and today!  Always a silver lining!

Thinking about you all and hoping everyone has a pleasant Sunday.

Hi All (again),

I posted very late last night on Saturday's postings. I don't think many probably had read it. I tried to copy and paste, but that didn't work for me. It kept highlighting the entire page of posts.

Any way, I had a strange day yesterday. Literally could not wake up. Went back to bed multiple times through out the day. I felt drugged all day. Didn't have anything unusual to eat the day before. I seem to be okay today.

I also wrote that I've been thinking about Steve the last few days. I miss him more than I thought I would. I'm not depressed. The last thing I said to him was" See you after my surgery." (Trying to hold off knee replacement until November.) In case I hadn't said it before Steve is Dr. Hinkle from the clinic where I did my PT. I was thinking that maybe I should go to another facility for rehab on my knee. No need to worry about that now. Live in today. Right?  By the time November rolls around it may well be a non-issue.  Thanks for listening.       Mag
